Camille Truong

Camille Truong is a Research Scientist at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, and Honorary Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne in Australia. Her research focuses on ectomycorrhizal associations in the southern hemisphere and the functional role of fungi in forest soils.

She is the founder of the video blog ‘What we are reading’ for the South American Mycorrhizal Research Network, and also act in the board of the Australasian Mycological Society.

She recently joined the Society for the Protection of Underground Networks (SPUN) to support the Underground Explorers and Science Associates programs. In 2022, she was awarded a Field Biology Award from the Maxwell-Hanrahan Foundation, as a recognition of her work documenting and advocating for the study and conservation of forest fungi.
