Dr. Lingli Liu is a professor and principal investigator at the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IBCAS). Her research interests center around ecosystem carbon and nitrogen cycles and their response to global changes.
She explores how the nutrient strategy of different plants and their associated mycorrhizal fungi communities influence ecosystem productivity and soil carbon storage. She received the Distinguished Young Scholar Award from the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2021.
Dr. Liu also serves as an editor for Ecology Letters, Global Change Biology, and Fundamental Research.
